Chronic Widespread Pain Syndrome

Chronic Widespread Pain Syndrome (CWPS) is a complex, poorly understood and difficult to treat pain condition. Unlike Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, which occurs after a physical injury, CWPS occurs spontaneously and is thought to be triggered largely by psychological and environmental stressors. It can cause pain over the entire body.
